Diet Tips for your Hair during Quarantine

We are unfortunately living in unprecedented times, but that doesn’t mean your diet or hair have to suffer. There are plenty of foods in your pantry that will have plenty of benefits for your hair.

Eggs – Eggs are a wonderful source of both biotin and protein, which are two of the most important nutrients needed for hair growth. Each hair fibre is made up of 90% Keratin, a form of fibrous structural protein. This makes a good source of protein a key essential nutrient in our diets. Keratin is a major component of both our skin and nails. Vegetarians can sometimes have a lack of protein in their diet, and eggs are a fantastic source to increase your intake.

 

Baked Beans – Another food that has been stockpiled over the last few days! Baked beans are full of great nutrients that can help your hair reach its full potential. Iron and Zinc are found in good amounts in Baked Beans. Iron plays a vital role across the whole body in the production of red blood cells. Red blood cells transport oxygen around the body to your cells so they can perform their functions. Iron deficiencies are surprisingly common and your hair growth will suffer because of it.

 

Coffee  – A single shot of espresso has enough caffeine to kick start your day, but that espresso will have some other benefits too. Caffeine is a natural anti-oxidant.
